Compared to other major providers, Cox is about average all around. It has a wide range of speeds, and you’ll pay a standard price for them, with no significant promotions or discounts. Cox’s lowest performing category, value, received a lower score due to its $20-$34/mo. price increase after 12-24 months.

Cox scores a little higher in the performance and customer satisfaction categories, however, due to its fast speed plan options and its use of coaxial cable technology, which is known for being one of the more reliable internet service types.

If you are looking for the best value, therefore, only choose Cox if you live in an area where fiber optic internet providers are not available. Cox allows you to bundle any internet plan with its TV service, Cox Contour TV. If you are looking to bundle internet and TV, Cox offers four different TV packages to choose from that range from 75+ to 250+ channels and you can also add Cox home phone to any bundle package.That said, you won’t get any savings by bundling Cox internet and TV together—the price is the same as it would be if you bought them separately.
